Tempting
Apple Crisp

4 cups cooking apples, peeled and sliced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/3 cup sifted all purpose flour (I don't sift)
1 cup oats, uncooked
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Place apples in shallow baking dish, sprinkle with lemon juice. Combine
dry ingredients. Add melted butter, mixing until crumbly. Sprinkle crumb
mixture over apples. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven 30 minutes or until
apples are tender.
Makes 6 servings. |
