 Vanilla Dropped Cookies
 From the kitchen of Barb Hofmeister

3 cups flour 
3 teaspoons baking powder 
3/4 teaspoon salt 
3/4 cup shortening 
1-1/4 cups sugar 
2 eggs well beaten 
1 teaspoon vanilla 
2/3 cup milk 

Cream shortening; add sugar gradually and continue beating until light. Add well beaten eggs and blend thoroughly; add vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately with the milk; mix well. Chill. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2-3 inches apart on a well greased baking sheet. Bake in a hot oven (400 degrees) 8-10 minutes. Frost with frosting. 

Chocolate Dropped Cookies Add 2 squares (2 ounces) unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled to shortening, sugar and egg mixture.
